Excavation & Foundation
Standard site preparation and foundation work — where excavated subsoil goes from "construction waste" to a primary building material.
Robot Setup
With a truck and trailer, two people, and one day, Terran's cable-driven robot is ready to work a space as large as a football field.

Adobe Material Prep
Locally sourced clay, aggregate, and straw are screened and mixed on-site into Terran's monolithic adobe composite — the same earth-based material that has proven its durability in structures standing over 1,000 years, now replacing framing, insulation, siding, and drywall in a single ultra-low-cost, zero-VOC wall system.
Pick, Place & Hammer = Autonomous Adobe
Terran's AI-driven robot autonomously picks and places 10-lb increments of adobe mix onto the wall, then sculpts and tamps each layer smooth with its impulse hammer — building solid, code-compliant walls with built-in shelving, fireplaces, and custom features at near-zero marginal cost.

24/7 Productivity & AI-Accelerated Learning
The robot builds autonomously around the clock, using reinforcement learning and computer vision to optimize every placement. Each build makes the next one faster — the same AI approach that would have been impossible even five years ago.
Monolithic Adobe Molded with Autonomous Precision
Terran walls are code-compliant mass walls built to IRC Appendix U — Cob Construction (Monolithic Adobe). The robot's impulse hammer uses computer vision to scan the wall surface and vibration feedback to sense material hardness — achieving the precision needed to meet structural code without manual intervention.

Trades & Finishing
Mechanical rough-ins — electrical, plumbing, and HVAC — install on a familiar top-plate system, with Terran's solid walls cutting electrician labor in half. Walls can be finished to nearly any style — smooth drywall, traditional plaster, stucco, or polished concrete — giving builders and homeowners full design flexibility. Interior trades complete paint, trim, flooring, and cabinetry, while built-in shelving, window seats, and fireplaces reduce the scope and cost of custom carpentry.
The Path to Housing Abundance
From dirt to done — a home that's quieter, fireproof, mold-free, and energy-efficient, with walls built to last centuries. Lower cost for the builder, healthier living for the homeowner, and 80% less embodied carbon than conventional construction. This is Automated Adobe Construction and the path to Housing Abundance.
